Adam Conlee of New York State has been charged with child pornography following an investigation conducted by the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and is scheduled for trial at Northumberland Town Court in April.

Adam discovered Mary’s Colchicine order and its use to kill her in his car, complete with gloves, goggles and mask for handling it safely.

Early Life and Education

Adam is the name given to the first human according to Genesis creation myth. It may derive from Hebrew Adm (‘adam) or Akkadian adamu, both meaning “to make.”

Born in Versailles, KY and with a musical background – singing with the local barbershop chorus as well as DJing at local radio stations – he found work as a disc jockey at one local radio station.

Conlee released his debut single in 1978 entitled “Rose Colored Glasses,” and it quickly became a country hit.

Adam Conlee’s personal life is far from typical. He has an established history of mental health issues, alcoholism, drug dependency and violence and fits of rage.

At his trial, he was found guilty of murdering Mary Yoder. Subsequently, he was given life imprisonment.

Trial began in April 2017, with prosecutors having an impressive case. They presented evidence including the Colchicine letter, DNA on the bottle, emails used to place orders for and pay for medication from her email account and debit cards that she used in ordering and paying for the prescriptions.

Adam had no motive, as Mary and him had an on/off romance that complicated matters further.
