Students at Adams House in Westmorly have long discussed a fireplace which is said to contain racist caricatures carved into its pillars – although none has ever officially acknowledged its existence.
Westmorly A-entryway seniors discovered racist sculptures on the fireplace at Harvard College and Adams House in 2018 but no action were taken by administrators to recognize or address them.
Early Life and Education
John Adams became the first of his family to enroll at Harvard and studied there to deepen his knowledge in Greek, Latin, rhetoric and logic. Additionally, he learned natural science, moral philosophy and law.
At graduation, he became a lawyer, practicing with moral conviction to challenge taboos of his time. During the eighteenth century’s secular wave of Enlightenment many took up law as their profession.
While viewers of Netflix series The Hollow have varied views about whether Adam is gay, there are some indicators in his character’s behavior that could suggest this possibility; however, his sexuality won’t fully be explored until season two.
Professional Career
Adam Jasperson has been in the golf business for nearly 10 years and embraces any challenge that arises. His responsibilities range from golf course management and event planning/administration, to leading pro golf operations at his club – this assignment involves tasks such as revamping pro shop experience, designing/installing new golf carts and improving customer service experience for both members and guests alike.
At the core of all this lies his ability to make this time-consuming task enjoyable and engaging, using his tools and skillset to assist club members better understand their own games and pursue dreams of golfing greatness. Engaging future generations of golfers should also be paramount.
Achievement and Honors
This semester has seen students earning degrees in fields including biology, business management, education, exercise science and nursing.
Recently, the Provost’s List and Honor Roll for undergraduate academic achievements during the fall 2021 semester were unveiled. To be considered for these accolades, a student must earn at least 12 semester hours with an overall GPA between 3.0-3.9 or better.
Best of all? A virtual ceremony was held on April 27th to recognize graduates, awarding them with various accolades – most popular being Attitude, Balance, Light and Experiment acronym award – presented during an online ceremony hosted on ABLE webpage despite record rainfall! Overall the event was an immense success!
