Conner Weigman Out With Flu

Jimbo Fisher made sure there would be an honest competition to determine next year’s starting quarterback after Texas A&M used freshman walk-on Haynes King as its backup last season. While Haynes King and Max Johnson appear to be competing closely for this spot, incoming freshman Conner Weigman may also play an influential role.

He enjoys volunteering with special needs children and beach cleanups, playing piano in his free time and is the son of Valerie and Bobby Wiegman.

Early Life and Education

Weigman was an outstanding quarterback prospect at Cypress Bridgeland High School in Houston. During his sophomore through senior years he led his team to its first three playoff appearances ever in school history – throwing for 8,901 yards and 98 touchdowns combined! Additionally he excelled as an avid baseball player.

He began receiving offers during his junior season from Virginia Tech as one of the initial major programs to do so. However, ultimately choosing Texas A&M due to their offensive coordinator Matt Campbell and head coach Jimbo Fisher was his decision.

Weigman wowed the Aggies fans during both of their spring scrimmages by showing incredible poise for a rookie player. His strong arm allowed him to deliver short throws with pinpoint accuracy while producing loft on deep ones.

Professional Career

As a five-star freshman quarterback for Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M Aggies, Weigman has been impressive. However, according to GigEm247 reports that due to an ongoing flu outbreak he was not cleared for Friday night’s game against Florida; instead he was benched in favor of Haynes King who will back up Max Johnson for the remainder of this season. Weigman completed 16 out of 28 passes this season for four touchdowns with no interceptions while also amassing 66 yards on foot – making him an impressive five star freshman QB who can do both things!

Personal Life

Weigman worked as a Hazardous Materials Truck Driver and enjoyed playing golf, camping, fishing and working on his property up north as well as watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his family. He leaves behind his wife Holli and children Adam and Erynn.

Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher took notice of Weigman during spring practice and their two scrimmages, where his poise impressed the Aggies head coach enough for him to name him starting quarterback over senior Haynes King and freshman Eli Stowers.

At high school, she was an outstanding soccer player – she earned four years of letters and was named to the All-State Team in 1989. Later she went on to join Mia Hamm and Kristine Lilly’s US Women’s National Team squad.
