Tilton sophomore Ahnay Adams earned NEPSAC Class AA Player of the Year honors and most valuable player at Blackburn Tournament 2022, averaging 24.11 points, 7.0 assists, 6.12 rebounds and 3.0 steals across 24 games – training with one of the area’s premier trainers, Brian Rudolph.
Early Life and Education
Adams was recognized as an exceptional student as a child. Later he would enroll at Harvard under Professor John Mayhew and excel in Latin classes. Never without a book during this time at Harvard, Adams developed a life-long love of reading that would serve him throughout his life.
Adams graduated Harvard before being admitted to the bar and beginning practicing law in Boston. Although his first legal case went unfavorably, this experience only strengthened his dedication to his craft – ultimately leading him to become one of America’s most iconic and influential figures.
Professional Career
Recent developments on the New Hampshire prep basketball scene have been quite exciting, and five-foot five 2024 four-star point guard Ahnay Adams of 5’5 2024 four-star point guard has captured top Division I college programs’ attention with commitments from Miami and Boston College already secured. She will continue focusing on honing her basketball game through her junior year and hopes to participate in Blue Star Saturday and Sunday at this year’s NCAA Women’s Final Four tournament in New Orleans.
Tilton School freshman Sophie Johnson helped guide the Rams to a 22-2 record and an appearance in the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class AA Tournament semifinals during her sophomore season, averaging 24.1 points, 7.0 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game over 24 games. In addition, she was honored as MVP at Blackburn Tournament after leading Tilton to victory – while also volunteering locally with Special Olympics and Spaulding Academy & Family Services.
Achievement and Honors
Adams earned 2022 NEPSAC Class AA Player of the Year honors after leading Tilton High School to an undefeated 22-2 record and semifinal spot in tournament play. She averaged 24.1 points, 7.0 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game across 24 matches – notching most valuable player honors at Blackburn tournament. In addition to serving Tilton students as peer counselor and dormitory proctor, Adams has volunteered with local Special Olympic events as well as Spaulding Academy & Family Services’ child placement agency.
She joins Caden Clark from Fontbonne College as former Concord Memorial standouts honored on the SLIAC All-Conference team and became Gatorade New Hampshire Girls Basketball Player of the Year; an accolade befitting of someone who has dedicated their lives to basketball.
Personal Life
Ahnay Adams has led a vibrant life outside of basketball courts. She has served as both a peer counselor and dormitory proctor at Tilton, as well as volunteering locally with Special Olympics and Spaulding Academy & Family Services’ child-placing and child care agency services. Furthermore, Ahnay was recently chosen to compete in Blue Star Saturday and Sunday at the NCAA Women’s Final Four in New Orleans.
Adams enjoys watching anime and playing video games in her free time, along with online chess – posting her victories on Instagram regularly – in her spare time. Additionally, she holds endorsement deals with Adidas and Powerade; hailing from Rotorua in New Zealand but now considering Oklahoma City her “second home”, while she and her brothers sold Kiwi Legend at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. Adams won 2022 NEPSAC Class AA Player of the Year title while maintaining a B average at Tilton School this past school year and will begin her junior year this fall.
