Andre Roundtree was born on 6 October 1915 in Atlanta, Fulton County Georgia to Frank Roundtree and Rosa Sutton. At University of Iowa he became an All-American football player as well as team captain. Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods is appealing to the public’s assistance in finding Ocala resident Andre Jerod Roundtree, who was arrested last August for showing pornographic material to a child and now another has come forward with allegations. Woods reports that another child has come forward with accusations.

Roundtree has also been actively engaged in his community, founding Dad’s in Action and serving on the Richmond County Council of PTAs Board. Additionally, he founded and co-founded The Lighted Wick, which offers gel candles and salt scrubs.

Net Worth

Roundtree made headlines not just due to his acting, but also through a health scare with breast cancer that was successfully managed with double mastectomy surgery.

He began modeling at an early age after being discovered by Eunice Johnson for the Ebony Fashion Fair and appearing in advertising campaigns for Duke hair grease and Salem cigarettes. Later, he joined the Negro Ensemble Company where he performed plays such as “The Great White Hope and Mau Mau Room”.

Roundtree was an influential pioneer of blaxploitation film history and left an indelible mark on film history as one of its trailblazers. He passed away at age 81 on Oct 24, 2023 and is survived by daughter Morgan; his estimated net worth stands at approximately $2 Million.
