Better Than Ezra Good

Better Than Ezra – Is Good Than Ezra Good?

A song by Better Than Ezra, “Good,” was released in February 1995. It was the band’s first single from their major-label debut album. The song topped the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and was at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was featured in the trailers for the 1996 film Dirty Work, as well as in an episode of the television show Hindsight.

Better Than Ezra’s first public performance was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1988. The band will not reveal the origin of the name. Some say it is derived from an annoying sound by Ernest Hemingway, but they don’t reveal it. In fact, the band refuses to tell their fans the source of the name, which is actually a pun on Hemingway’s novel A Moveable Feast.
