She was diagnosed with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis at a young age, yet never let that stop her. She battled through each obstacle with determination and an infectious smile.
She married George in 1961 and they remained together for almost 36 years until her passing in 1997. Throughout this time, she served as inspiration to many of her husband’s comedy specials and related appearances. Throughout this time, she stood by his side while he pursued his career; additionally, she helped raise their daughters Alison and Mindy.
