Early Life and Education
Charlene Daniels was a woman who enjoyed giving back. As wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many, she always told it like it was; never giving into pressure from any group or person to say what was wanted of them.
As part of OCHE, she worked closely with the North Carolina American Indian Health Board, leading community-engaged research and outreach initiatives. In addition, she provides pipeline training for high school and college students seeking careers as oncology patient navigators navigators.
She leaves behind an enormous family that includes sons Curtis and Deaunta Moton; daughters Yvonne, Sheikquilla McClain, Stacy Taylor, and Shanta Moton; 11 grandchildren; brother Walter “Rug” Daniels; 8 sisters-in-law; as well as numerous nieces and nephews – as well as an extended circle of friends whose lives she was an inspiration to. Charlene Daniels leaves behind her husband, Bobby Jack Daniels Sr. of Tampa, Florida; their children Miriam Jarvis, Marlon Jarvis, Elliott Pieze and Jameria Pieze; grandchilden Monaye Hospedales, Javeon Jacobs Blaque Jarvis Dejanaye Wilkes Travon Jarvis Aundrea Hill Marquis Daniels plus one great grandchild Alana Renee Pulley as well as several brothers Charles Creason Wallace Davis as well as several nieces and nephews and nieces and nephews who survive them all.
