He possesses extensive expertise in corporate and transactional law, privacy law and cybersecurity matters. Additionally, he has collaborated with both government and intergovernmental committees on high-level issues. Furthermore, he is often called upon as a speaker on various subjects and author of many articles and books.
Dan Cotter values his family highly. He has three daughters and one son as well as numerous relatives living nearby. Additionally, he’s very involved in his community and church as well as being part of both the Friendly Sons of Shillelagh and Kerryman Association membership organizations.

Throughout that time he gained extensive experience recruiting talent, installing offensive and defensive game plans, scouting opponents, recruiting for and developing team programs as well as overseeing practice sessions and tournaments.

Daniel Cotter is an esteemed graduate of Monmouth College where he earned All-Midwest Conference center honors and an Associated Press Little All-American Honorable Mention award as a senior. Additionally, Daniel was active in his community serving as Chairman Emeritus of Daniel A. Cotter Boys’ & Girls’ Club of Chicago Board as well as being key in creating Cristo Rey High School, an inaugural Jesuit high school.
Cotter is currently the defensive coordinator for Lindsey Wilson football team and has been with them for six seasons, helping lead them to three Mid-South Conference championships during that time. He possesses experience recruiting, installing offensive and defensive game plans, scouting teams and film breakdowns. Paige and Cotter reside in Columbia with their three children Kycen, Skylar and Ace.

TruServ, the largest cooperative hardware chain in the US with over 10,000 True Value, ServiStar and Coast to Coast stores nationwide, was previously led by Cotter as chairman and chief executive officer until his retirement in 2012. Cotter is well known in his community; having served on the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago board. Cotter also held an assistant football coaching role at Cumberlands University for six seasons where his duties included recruiting new talent as well as devising offensive/defensive game plans, scouting teams for film breakdowns/ and film analysis/breaks.
