Daniel Buckmire Passes Away
Early Life and Education
Daniel Buckmire was an amazing individual who deeply cared about his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his mother, sisters, brother, girlfriend, daughter and others; watching sports (particularly his beloved Dallas Cowboys!) as well as family dinners and movie nights with loved ones.
He held faculty appointments at both Occidental College and National Science Foundation (NSF), contributing significantly to mathematics research areas such as error analysis, Taylor expansion and boundary value problems – as well as non-mathematical subjects like heat thermodynamics and dynamics. His impact was immense!
On May 21st 2019, she was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in Calvert County, Maryland. A search was conducted of her vehicle which revealed an abundance of cannabis.
Daniel worked to empower young people through nonprofit organizations that advocated for educational equity. As an outstanding first-generation high school and college graduate, he advocated for educational opportunities for children of color. Daniel loved spending time with his family; bonding over movies, sports, and video games together was something special they shared; Daniel will be deeply missed by his mother, sister, and friends.
He was an LGBTQI member and passionate fan of sci-fi. His interests ranged from watching Netflix and going for joy rides to spending time with close friends. He cherished his family, frequently checking up on them – siblings, mother, grandmother and Aunt Sydney alike – to keep updated. An avid sports fan, he also delighted in rooting on his favorite teams at home or away games.
Buckmire has worked as both a host and trial attorney. Additionally, he serves as legal correspondent for Fox News and HLN as well as appearing in commercials and independent films. Buckmire attended Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
He leaves behind his mother, Josanne; father Thomas; sisters Melvin, Nyson, and Erin; as well as aunt Sydney as well as many other close family and friends. He loved his family dearly and would often check in on them and discuss careers, relationships and life goals with them. Additionally he was an avid sports fan, frequently enjoying watching movies together or playing board/video games together; an outstanding writer he also took pleasure in writing literary pieces himself.
Buckmire is an esteemed attorney and television personality who frequently appears on Law&Crime Network and ABC News. Additionally, he works as a homicide defense attorney with the New York City public defender’s office and has appeared on numerous court shows. Buckmire earned his JD from Washington and Lee University.
Police in Prince Frederick, Maryland conducted a traffic stop and discovered drugs and paraphernalia belonging to Daniel Joel James Buckmire in his vehicle during a traffic stop. Following arrest and transport to Calvert County Detention Center, Buckmire has been charged with possessing marijuana as well as paraphernalia for use during drug activity.
