Daniel Bundy was an exceptional individual with many friends and family members. He enjoyed working around his home, being handy with things needing fixing up, fishing with family, and making memories with them on lakes. Daniel Bundy leaves behind his beloved wife Linda of 59 years; daughters Gloria and Denise Bundy of Brandy Camp Circle Ridgway PA as well as Daniel Bundy III from Kersey PA as well as 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; these memories will live on in his loving memory.

Early Life and Education

Bundy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington and then enrolled at the University of Puget Sound, majoring in Chinese. Later he switched his major to psychology at University of Washington after withdrawing.

He traveled to Florida where he attacked and raped multiple young women at Chi Omega sorority house, biting into one’s nipple before strangling her before finally being captured two weeks after this sorority house attack in driving away a stolen VW Beetle.

Professional Career

Bundy joined Studd and Heenan in a tag team feud against The Machines; Bill Eadie and Blackjack Mulligan often wrestling under masks (as Super Machine and Big Machine respectively) alongside masked Andre the Giant as Giant Machine; Bundy, Studd, Heenan claimed this Giant Machine was actually Andre.

He returned to the WWF in 1994 under Ted DiBiase’s Million Dollar Corporation stable, appearing briefly at Survivor Series before retiring again from wrestling.

Bundy is currently an attorney with Susman Godfrey and holds his law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law with honors from 2022, graduating magna cum laude. Additionally, he’s part of Texas State Bar Association where he competes on one of their competitive mock trial teams.

Achievement and Honors

Bundy served on both the Council of Foreign Relations, where he participated in implementing the Marshall Plan, and Harvard’s Board of Overseers; there he helped develop it into a merit-based institution. During World War II he served in the Navy intelligence unit, witnessing D-Day landings from deck of USS Augusta which was under Rear Admiral Alan G Kirk (a relative). Following WWII he ghost-wrote Stimson’s third person autobiography On Active Service in Peace and War (1947) before working together on study group to reduce nuclear proliferation threats.

Personal Life

Daniel Bundy received the prestigious SMU Dedman School of Law graduate medal, receiving highest marks with distinction, in 2022 and becoming an Order of Barristers member. Prior to joining Susman Godfrey he worked at an insurance defense litigation firm as an associate.

Cliven Bundy was an Idaho rancher and one of the central figures in a 2014 standoff with federal authorities over unpaid grazing fees on public lands, creating the far-right People’s Rights Network as well as running for governor of Idaho in 2020.

He is survived by his wife Linda Emerson, daughter Brittany Bundy from Shippenville and sons Jeff Crowther (Andover, OH) and David Bundy (Ridgway); brother-in-laws Larry McBride of New Bethlehem; sister in law Shirley McBride (Shippenville); grandchildren Noah Barr and Chucky Crowther are cherished memories.
