Chef Corey oversees The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel’s intimate art deco-inspired Redwood Room and Fredericks eateries at San Francisco. His focus lies in using local ingredients as inspiration while respecting its surroundings.

He is also a writer and content producer who has contributed his skills to comics, live theatre performances, virtual reality experiences and virtual reality environments. His notable works include graphic novels such as BLOODWORTH and PROPHET from Image Comics as well as Moriarty and Red City from Bloomsworth Comics.

Early Life and Education

Daniel was born and raised in Park City, Utah where he spent most of his life. His favorite activities were skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping and fishing; in particular he enjoyed Treasure Cay beach in the Bahamas in his summers as an activity getaway.

Daniel attended Christendom College where he earned his degree in history while also appearing in several of the college’s theatrical productions. Daniel was particularly fond of participating in the annual Voyageur Trip canoe expedition that travels nearly 600 miles along Northern Canada’s Boundary Waters.

His mother Teresa Mc Gregor and stepfather Randy Oster welcomed him with open arms into their family, and Megan and Emma became close to him quickly. Additionally, Randy held dear the extended family he gained through Megan and Emma; particularly his cousins.

Personal Life

Daniel Corey was an adventurer who loved finding new adventures. In Park City, Utah he could often be found snowboarding or playing ice hockey; camping was one of his passions as well as canoeing; Daniel even proudly joined some friends on their annual Voyageur trip across Minnesota’s Boundary Waters over 52 days!

Daniel was exceptionally close to both of his grandparents and was often seen calling his momma each morning with updates about the outdoor temperature in the Arctic. Daniel enjoyed conversing with his cousins from McGregor, Davies, Oster sides of his family as well as staying close with Park City friend Britt Laswell. Daniel was proudly his mother’s boy who always stood by her side throughout her loving family life.

Professional Career

Chef Corey brings California as his inspiration, using ingredients-driven and sustainable cuisine as his style of culinary creation. As Executive Chef for The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel he oversees iconic Redwood Room and Fredericks dining as well as all in-room dining service.

Corey has extensive engineering experience across all stages of ITS, EV and CAV development; from writing federal grants and strategic plans to secure project funding; to solution design and deployment as well as operations and maintenance. He currently sits on ITS America’s Smart Infrastructure Standing Committee.

Corey represents clients in an array of legal matters. His expertise spans business and local government representation, civil litigation and criminal defense; while his aggressive and effective advocacy for his clients has earned him widespread praise.

Achievement and Honors

Daniel Corey has written numerous screenplays, teleplays, stage plays and comic series. Additionally he worked as broadcast news reporter before being appointed to Full Sail University’s Creative Writing Program Advisory Committee where he currently sits as well as speaking at several pop culture conventions.

He has received many honors and awards, such as theatreWashington’s Helen Hayes Award – for his performance in One Man, Two Guvnors this year alone, he received an nomination.

Corey owns and operates a farm in Aroostook County where he cultivates and sells 86 varieties of seed potatoes. Over the years, this farm has earned numerous accolades and awards, such as being awarded North American Seed Supplier of the Year 2022.

Net Worth

Daniel was passionate about the ocean and could often be found diving for clams or collecting agates on Oregon coast with his mom Randy. Additionally, he enjoyed visiting friends in Seattle – particularly his Park City friend Britt Laswell whom he was especially close with.

On September 11th 2001 he was fortunate to escape down an emergency stairwell when terrorist attacks occurred, later volunteering his services for relief efforts with American Red Cross.

His firm provides fee-based financial advisory services, investment portfolio management services, tax reduction strategies, IRAs and retirement plan rollover services with over 25 employees working within. In addition, he participates in several charitable endeavours and serves as a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Lodi.
