Daniel Gorfine is an experienced regulatory, public policy, strategic communications, and business executive. With significant in-house, government, think tank, and private sector experience ranging from in-house roles at large organizations to think tanks to consultancies he founded Gattaca Horizons as an advisory boutique firm and currently an Adjunct Professor teaching FinTech Law & Policy at Georgetown University. Additionally, Daniel serves as senior policy advisor to Financial Technology Association as well as co-founding The Digital Dollar Project.

Professional Career

Daniel Gorfine is an accomplished regulatory, public policy, and strategic communications executive, possessing extensive in-house and government experience across multiple sectors such as financial markets & services, technology, and capital access. He is a founding member and advisor for Gattaca Horizons LLC, a FinTech advisory firm; Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center teaching FinTech Law & Policy; and Co-Founder of the Digital Dollar Project, an initiative dedicated to exploring a United States Central Bank Digital Currency. Gorfine served as Chief Innovation Officer and Director of LabCFTC at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, overseeing their technological innovation and regulatory modernization efforts to keep pace with modern digital markets. Prior to that role, he served as Vice President, External Affairs & Associate General Counsel of OnDeck; director of Financial Market Policy & Legal Counsel at Milken Institute think tank; Vice President External Affairs for OnDeck and Legal Advisor to OnDeck respectively.
