Early Life and Education

Daniel Noon is an American actor best known for his roles on Fox’s The Gifted as Wes and On My Block as Mario Martinez; in addition, he played Chip in MGM/PGM’s remake of Valley Girl.

Daniel, an individual with learning disabilities, found his dream job with Network Rail’s Birmingham New Street Station after enrolling in Landau’s study programme to enhance both his numeracy and literacy abilities.

Dan joined 13abc First Warning Weather as weekend evening meteorologist in February 2019 and now co-anchors the morning and noon shows on WDBJ7 and WZBJ24. Based out of Winchester, he enjoys exploring Southwest Virginia with his family while wine tasting and indulging in chocolate consumption – not forgetting being an avid University of Virginia fan!

Daniel is a Chartered Surveyor, PRINCE2 project management practitioner, and RICS Ska Rating Assessor. For over 17 years he has been responsible for service delivery to clients such as Lee Valley Regional Park Authority with Olympic Legacy projects at Velodrome, White Water Centre and Hockey & Tennis Centres.

He serves on the Boards of several private companies and is active in community outreach work through membership with Kentucky Colonels Foundation and community involvement.

Daniel plays an instrumental role in GIC’s investments, providing external hedge funds and asset managers as sources of diversification for GIC’s internal teams.

Noon has received numerous accolades throughout his professional and personal lives, not just his business career. He joined Rogers Noon Rotary Club and was honored as a distinguished citizen. Serving on various Rogers organizations’ boards is another testament to Noon’s exceptional leadership skills and initiative in improving communities.

Noon has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career, such as Carnegie Mellon Honors Program Alumni Award. The program requires students to maintain a high grade point average, complete a thesis/research project, as well as fulfill other curricular requirements. Noon was an undergraduate computer science major at Raikes School of Computer Science and Management before earning his Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree from Carnegie Mellon.

Daniel van der Noon was born in 1988 in England and became part of the Young British Artists (YBAs) artistic movement during the 1990s, which included Damien Hirst, Chris Ofili, Tracey Emin and Marc Quinn as its central figures. Charles Saatchi played an influential role in their careers. To keep their portfolio diverse and continue creating new works that could not have been created on his own; Daniel traveled widely seeking inspiration and collaborated with other artists on new pieces to broaden his portfolio further.
