Dave Pharmacy serves customers in Hemingford and Alliance, Nebraska with five days a week open pharmacies. Plus they have a rapid testing lab where customers can get flu, strep throat, and other tests done quickly and affordably. Their prices are competitively priced – please call for more information! Currently owned by Melissa Sancho, dave pharmacy provides services at both locations.
Early Life and Education
Dave was raised on a 160-acre corn and livestock farm near Belvidere, Boone County, Illinois. As a child, his pharmacist Al Anderson at Rexall Drugs encouraged him to pursue a career in pharmacy.
He began working at Madison Memorial Hospital as a student in 1986 and has been here ever since. According to him, the hospital is an ideal workplace due to its dedicated team of professionals who share a common goal of making patients’ experiences the best they can be.
Dave pharmacy has earned recognition in the medical community for his leadership and innovation in pharmacoeconomics and pharmacy informatics. Additionally, he received the Jesse Stewart Service Award from UIC Pharmacy Alumni Association.
Professional Career

One way to achieve this goal is by seeking out a career that integrates patient care and academia, particularly for pharmacists aspiring to become faculty members.
Hager serves as pharmacist coordinator at UW Health, overseeing trainings and residency programs for pharmacy students and PGY1 residents. Additionally, he leads Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience rotations through collaboration with the School of Pharmacy.
Achievements and Honors
Pharmacy students are an incredibly diverse group, each with their own talents and interests. This variety presents them with numerous chances for success in this career field.
At the UW School of Pharmacy, we recognize and honor students for their achievements and honors throughout each academic year. Awards are given out across both campuses’ academic programs.
Professor David Brushwood has earned a variety of honors, including the Pellegrino Medal for his leadership in healthcare ethics. Additionally, he was twice selected by the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics to serve as a Mayday Scholar in Pain Policy.
Personal Life
Dave Pharmacy has been an outstanding community volunteer, serving on boards for organizations such as the UW School of Pharmacy and Special Needs Council. Additionally, he was involved in numerous fundraising campaigns, such as his successful Rennebohm Hall campaign.
David Hamacher is a long-standing member of the College of Pharmacy, known for his professionalism, ethical standards and friendly demeanor. Through his efforts, students, staff and patients alike have received exceptional care when it matters most.
He served as manager of The Apothecary at CU Boulder for over three decades, cultivating strong connections with both patients and staff alike. His high ethical standards, kindness and generosity were evident to everyone associated with The Apothecary – as Lou Diamond, former dean of the College of Pharmacy, noted.
