David Heinzman was a church musician, organist, harpsichordist and composer. A member of the American Guild of Organists, his talents were widely appreciated throughout his career.

He earned both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in music with honors and distinction from the University of Michigan, as well as studying organ at the University of Southern California.

Heinzman achieved notable success during his student days, being a finalist in the Arthur Poister Organ Playing Competition (Syracuse, N.Y.). Additionally, he has performed as a soloist at numerous concerts throughout New York State.

His wife Joan; children and their spouses, as well as grandchildren are his survivors. Additionally, he leaves behind brothers and sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
