David Seybold first found his artistic passion at age 11, after graduating with his BA and teaching certificate from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Shortly thereafter, he chose to focus on art full time rather than continue his teaching opportunities.
Dave has more than three decades of global leadership experience partnering with clients to design and implement technology solutions at scale. He finds great joy in creating business value using digital cloud technologies while leading diverse, global teams.
Early Life and Education
David Seybold was born and raised in Dunkirk, New York during 1968, where the southwestern grape-wine region of New York State lies. At a very early age he discovered his artistic eye and hand through discovering paints in his mother’s attic; this passion continued throughout high school and college.
After graduating, David abandoned teaching opportunities in favor of becoming an independent artist. With a realistic style, David now captures rural Pennsylvania through images depicting old stone farmhouses, antiques, landscapes and still lifes containing freshly harvested fruits and flowers; all done through light and shadow techniques which elucidate subtle moods while conveying changing seasons.

Dave is a veteran business leader with more than three decades of global experience, having held various global software and cloud leadership roles including IBM Global Business Services’ global lead of software and cloud solutions for digital cloud technologies as well as working alongside clients to implement large scale technology solutions at scale. Prior to joining Avanade NA and Atos Americas he served as global head for software and cloud solutions globally – serving as global lead for software and cloud solutions for IBM Global Business Services before joining Avanade NA and Atos Americas as global head for software and cloud solutions at IBM Global Business Services where he led global software and cloud solutions across several sectors globally before joining Avanade NA and Atos Americas respectively. Dave’s passion lies within driving business value through using digital cloud technologies combined with working closely with clients on designing and implementing technology solutions at scale to drive business value creation within his clients’ organizations while designing and implementing technology solutions at scale within each client organization’s own business operations.
Achievement and Honors
David Seybold is a self-taught artist with over three decades of experience who has won multiple awards over his 30-year career. A member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and featured in various publications, his realistic images capture rural Pennsylvania through old stone farmhouses, antiques, landscapes and still lifes featuring freshly harvested fruits and flowers.
Edinboro University of Pennsylvania granted him his degree with majors in art and teaching certification in 1991, which allowed him to fulfill his longtime dream of becoming an independent artist. Following six years as a classroom educator, he left to pursue this goal, becoming one of 47 physicians nationwide honored as “Masters of ACP”. Furthermore, he holds several patents and remains active within the art world.
