Who is Dwyane Wade?

Wade was born on January 17, 1982. His mother was a drug addict and was in and out of prison. He was taken to live with his father. His father separated from his mother when he was four months old. He was raised in the South Side of Chicago. The NBA superstar is now a board member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Wade helped the United States win the 2008 Olympic gold medal. He also dominated at the FIBA World Championship in Japan, averaging 19.3 points per game and leading his team to a bronze medal. He was a key player in the NBA’s 2008-09 season, and was elected to his fifth consecutive All-Game. While playing on the NBA, Wade set records by becoming the second player to score 40 points in a game and was the first player to record 10 assists in a game.
