The early years are critical to a child’s development and are one of the most important eras in their life. During this period, their brains develop at an incredible rate and it’s during these years that their foundations for social skills, self-esteem, perception of the world and moral outlook are established.
This is why the UNESCO believes that “early childhood education” should be one of the biggest investments a country can make as it promotes holistic development, gender equality and social cohesion. It’s also a key component of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which was approved by the UN General Assembly in 2015.
