He is a member of the UCLA Brain Tumor Center, which collaborates with experts in radiation oncology, neuroradiology, neuropathology and other fields to provide cutting-edge treatments for those suffering from central nervous system cancers.

As he approached Salt Lake City, he reached out to the University of Utah placement service for assistance. There he met 19-year-old Philo T. Farnsworth from the science department who was in the midst of his final year at the university.

He was thoroughly impressed by Farnsworth’s organizational skills and commitment to their work. Therefore, he offered to fund Farnsworth’s plans through a partnership known as Everson, Farnsworth and Gorrell.

He served as the recruiter of scientific personnel for the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory in Berkeley, California. Unfortunately, his career was cut short due to an inappropriate personal relationship with a distant subordinate.

Achievements and Honors

George Everson was an influential figure in economic development and his numerous accomplishments have been recognized. He earned notoriety for his efforts to attract businesses to Hamilton and diversify its once steel-dependent economy.

He was an esteemed member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), where he served as expert panel member and contributed to many international projects. Additionally, he advised on a sustainable development project in Dahlian, China and was honored to receive their Fellow designation.

His efforts have seen the Ancaster Business Park become a success, now home to 218 businesses and nearly 3,800 employees. Furthermore, he spearheaded Ontario’s first Tax Incremental Financing program which has since been replicated in dozens of municipalities throughout the province.

George Everson lived a life filled with love and happiness. As an adoring husband and father, he deeply valued his family.

He was an incredible friend and mentor to many. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to aiding those less fortunate.

His legacy can be seen in the many books and articles he penned. Additionally, he was well known for his contributions to film magazines such as Films in Review (1909-).

He was a loving husband and father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Survived by his beloved wife Mildred E. Everson and their two children, he will be greatly missed by those he left behind.
