John was an outstanding student and athlete at Princeton. He played football, managed the Campus Stationery Agency, and served as Orange Key preceptor.

He and his wife Val enjoyed camping and skiing together. Together they had two daughters.

In their early years together, they lived in several states and often referred to Virginia as “God’s Country.”

Following graduation, John joined the Army and served with distinction in infantry for 22 years. Throughout that time he earned numerous awards and commendations.

After his service in the military, John pursued a career in real estate. He is currently a California Certified Appraiser and personal property broker based out of Locust Grove, VA.
