John Mulaney is an award winning actor, comedian and writer best known for his work on Saturday Night Live. He has also written for the IFC’s “Documentary Now!” and has starred in such movies as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. In addition to his acting career, he is also a prolific writer and has released numerous stand-up comedy specials for both television and Netflix.

As an actor, he has appeared in a wide range of films, including The Comeback Kid, Oh, Hello!, The P’dcast and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Although his stand-up routines are known for their wild impressions and witticisms, the real star is his witty writing. With his work on Saturday Night Live and his writing for such TV shows as Parks and Recreation and Game of Thrones, he is widely recognized as one of the greatest and most prolific writers in the business.

Aside from his work on Saturday Night Live, Mulaney has produced a handful of comedy specials for Netflix and Comedy Central. One of his more notable specials was a musical variety show which he titled John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch, which debuted on Comedy Central in December of 2019. Since then, the pair have been working on holiday-themed Sack Lunch Bunch specials, which have been shown on both networks.

On the topic of writing, Mulaney has won several prestigious awards, including an Emmy for his work on “Weekend Update” and a Writers Guild of America Award. Additionally, his work on Netflix has earned him the title of “Stand-up Comedian of the Year” for his performance in the popular stand-up comedy series Big Mouth.

For his acting, Mulaney has starred in several films, including the Oscar nominated The Comeback Kid and the Broadway show Oh, Hello!. He was also an SNL writer and producer, and has received a host of other honors and awards. His most recent film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, garnered much praise and attention, with many citing it as a major step in his career.

As an actor, Mulaney has a knack for playing the obnoxious. However, he is also a philanthropist, and has given away a number of prizes, such as a $1 million dollar gift from the Jimmy Fallon Foundation. Some of his other achievements include being the recipient of an award from the American Film Institute for the best short film, and a Primetime Emmy for a movie he wrote.

There are a number of notable events and happenings involving Mulaney in the Bay Area over the last few months. For example, he has performed in two sold-out shows at the United Center and Red Rock Amphitheatre in Morrison. He is currently appearing in the Just for Laughs Festival in Toronto, and will be performing in Boston, Mass., and Chicago, Illinois, later this month. While he has not been able to make it out to Oakland or the Bay Area for a while, he is set to return in the fall for an appearance at the Kalamazoo State Theatre.
