John Peroyea, VP/Operations and GM of KLTY/Dallas

John Peroyea has served as Vice President/Operations and General Manager of Salem Media Group’s cluster in Dallas, which includes KLTY-FM, KWRD-FM, KSKY-AM, KTNO-AM and KEXB-AM for 43 years.

He will serve as a consultant to David Santrella, Salem’s President of Broadcast Media. The company will immediately commence a nationwide search for a new General Manager for this cluster.

Achievements and Honors

KLTY/Dallas was honored with both Religious Station of the Year and Best News/Talk station honoree at the 2014 NAB Marconi Radio Awards, led by John Peroyea.

He was renowned for his generosity and kind nature, traits he passed on to his children and grandchildren. In addition to stamp collecting, working puzzles, gardening, watching the Astros games and exercising were some of his hobbies.

Johnny Schroder spent his lifetime volunteering, serving at St. Pius, Some Other Place and the Beaumont Diocesan Chancery counting envelopes. Additionally, he served as CCD teacher and scout leader. Johnny’s willingness to help others is something that will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by his wife Alice Schroder; son John “Jay” P. Schroder III; daughter Karen Schroder of Beaumont; and her husband Miles, Johnny will be greatly missed by those who knew him best.
