Early Life and Education
Early childhood education and care (ECEC) are critical elements in child development. Studies have indicated that early stimulation can be a powerful tool for compensating for disadvantages, mitigating or preventing disabilities, improving cognitive abilities, and preparing kids for school.
ECEC programs are provided by a range of organizations, including public, private and not-for-profit providers. Their primary mission is to guarantee that children who need extra support receive it.
Typically, children’s first exposure to Early Childhood Education (ECE) occurs in preschool when they join a program that provides care and education. This may include health screenings, nutrition education, social service support and other services designed to promote physical, social emotional and cognitive development of young children.
