Early Life and Education
Early childhood is incredibly important and formative for a child’s future development. Because the brain develops rapidly during this period, the quality of stimulation, support and nurture provided during this time can have a major influence on their overall progress.
Though a child’s early years are often defined by what they learn from their parents, educators and the community must also be taken into account. By creating an environment in which children feel known, valued, and motivated to learn, educators can help ensure they develop strong emotional skills as well as self-assurance.
From birth to five, children receive a range of educational programs designed to prepare them for school and academic success. Other programs emphasize mental and emotional preparedness as well.
