Noah Eaker has been employed with HarperCollins Publishers for four years as a senior editor, continually learning and honing his craft in that time. A dedicated individual who seeks out ways to develop himself professionally.
At the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament with Baseball Factory, Noah displayed exclusively as a RHP. His mound presence is strong; his fastball and curve provide ample offense while his curve provides swing and miss action that allows for natural cutting action.
Early Life and Education
Noah Eaker is currently working at HarperCollins Publishers out of New York as Vice President and Executive Editor, having spent four years there.
Noah Eaker faced one of the toughest decisions of his life when making an important choice as an eighth grader: whether to attend Gastonia’s Highland Tech. Instead, he chose his hometown school Cherryville High, helping lead them to their eighth state baseball title overall and first since 2007.
This children’s book tells the tale of Noah and the ark that was given to him by God to build. Young readers will appreciate Noah’s dedication and trustworthiness while enjoying this entertaining tale! An excellent choice for children of all ages!
Professional Career
Noah Eaker is an exciting prospect with immense pitching potential. With a highly projectable body and striking out batters consistently with fastball, curve and changeup pitches he dominates the zone and maintains quick release times.
At the December 2013 Baseball Factory Winter Classic he reached a peak velocity of 72 mph with his fastball and ran a 7.89 60 yard dash. Subsequently at the January 2014 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament his fastball reached an astonishing 81 mph with excellent tailing action while his 11/5 curve produced swings and misses at major league levels.
He’s an intelligent player with great coaching potential. He boasts an athletic setup with a solid load and good balance; plus works the lower half of his bat effectively.
Achievement and Honors
Noah Eaker earned a state championship for Cherryville Ironmen on Saturday by excelling both as an infielder and pitcher in game two of the state finals against Whiteville. Eaker went 3-for-4 at bat with one double and three RBI, as well as pitching a scoreless seventh inning to save. Austin Treadway and Ryan Owens started out the inning with singles before Carlton Jackson walked with two outs before Eaker hit an offering by Brooks Baldwin to right field for a two run triple that put Ironmen ahead for victory – earning him Most Valuable Player honors of this game.
Additionally, he was chosen for inclusion on the 1A All-State team and is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal Life
Noah Eaker lives in Lorance, Missouri with his wife and two children. An avid sports enthusiast, Noah enjoys hunting and fishing during his leisure time and also writes extensively – having written several books himself!
Eaker began his baseball career at Cherryville High School, helping the Ironmen win a state title as a junior. Following this he played at Catawba Valley Community College before transferring to Coastal Carolina University for its 2016 College World Series victory and Eaker was thrilled by this opportunity to be part of an already winning program.
Eaker currently works as senior editor at Random House and has overseen numerous high-profile book acquisitions such as Jordan Davis’ poetry collection The Sacred Thief and Tea Obreht’s award-winning debut novel, The Tiger’s Wife.
