Sarah Dunleavy hails from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania and attended Duke University where she met Mike Dunleavy Jr. The two later tied the knot on June 28, 2008.

Sarah Crotty hails from a family with deep athletic roots. Gerald competed on football, ice hockey, and rugby teams at Fordham University while Lucille held senior administrative roles within Fordham.

Sarah has an enthusiasm for teaching. In addition, she is a dedicated wife and mother, raising four children – two boys and two girls – together with her husband. While their schedules can be busy, the couple makes every effort to maintain close family ties; older kids have been exposed to the coronavirus pandemic; with whom they have openly discussed it.

Sarah Dunleavy is a dedicated professional who has made her mark in sports administration. Currently working as an annual giving associate for the University of New Hampshire.

Prior to joining UNH, she served as Senior Swim Coach and Women’s Recruiting Coordinator at the University of Kentucky for three seasons, working with breaststroke and individual medley groups that produced 13 NCAA All-Americans and 15 Olympic Trials qualifiers during this time.

Mike Dunleavy Jr and she enjoy a happy marriage that they prefer to keep quiet about in public, with two sons and two daughters between 7-11 who excel in education and sports activities.

Sarah Dunleavy has made significant achievements and honors a part of her successful teaching career. Her students have won various accolades such as first place awards at both the New Jersey State Fair and Congressional Institute Art Competition; additionally they have received scholarships and been showcased at exhibitions.

She served as recruiting and senior coach consultant for USA Swimming Gold Medal club Sierra Marlins from 2019 – 2021, helping swimmers navigate their recruitment processes, developing training ideas for them, leading women’s leadership groups and clinics, etc.

Sarah excels both as an academic coach and as an accomplished writer, serving as advisor to RV’s student newspaper and teaching writing classes to college-bound students. Sarah passionately advocates for her students, encouraging them to follow their dreams.

Personal Life

Sarah Dunleavy remains relatively private about her personal life, with only limited information being made public about it. She is married to NBA star Mike Dunleavy and together they share four children.

Dunleavy has taken part in various charitable endeavors. Together with her husband, they support the United Way and take part in its Annual Christmas Service for families in need.

She currently serves as UNH’s Annual Giving Associate and has helped raise funds for their athletic department by building relationships with donors.

Before arriving at New Hampshire, she worked as an assistant swimming coach for Teri McKeever at Cal. While in this capacity, she helped guide their women’s team to second place finishes both seasons. Additionally, she has held coaching roles at Tennessee, Pitt and Illinois State universities.

Sarah Dunleavy is married to Mike Dunleavy, an NBA veteran and newly appointed General Manager for the Golden State Warriors after taking over for Bob Myers who recently retired this summer.
