He accumulated two top five finishes during his Nationwide Series career: Michigan and Bristol. Additionally, he ran as high as second with two laps remaining at Michigan but lost it due to a last-lap accident involving Ryan Newman.

2012 saw him stay with Roush Fenway Racing, earning top 10 finishes at Martinsville and Talladega, including sixth at each race.

Achievement and Honors

After earning his doctorate, Bayne joined the Naval Research Lab (NRL) as an advanced power electronic design engineer. Two and a half years later he moved on to serve as Team Lead at Army Research Laboratory (ARL), overseeing a group of engineers.

At ARL, he played an essential role in developing a program of high temperature and advanced power devices. Additionally, he led multiple Small Business Initiative Research projects and served as Contracting Officer Representative on numerous contracts.

Since his return to academia, Dr. Haase has made outstanding contributions in engineering and in vitro biology. In 2009, he received the Society for In Vitro Biology Lifetime Achievement Award and has gone on to publish numerous articles as well as create courses at Texas Tech University.

Personal Life

Bishop Bayne was renowned for his tireless ecumenical travels around the globe and spent around 150,000 miles a year visiting Anglican provinces around the globe. As one of his signature achievements, he pioneered new tools designed to foster communion between Anglicans.

2011 Daytona 500 champion Juan Pablo Montoya will make a full-time comeback this year to compete in the Nationwide Series races, driving for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Sam Hornish Jr. who have both claimed victories this season so far.
