Steven Houck
Rev Steven Houck – A New Red Sox Prospect
Idealy, the protagonist should face serious enough challenges that their difficulties make her understandable and endearing to readers. Perhaps their wealth has been lost due to an irreparable miscalculation by parents or she needs to work hard in order to pay for college fees.
Rev. Houck is most fulfilled as a pastor when one of his congregation members who has wandered away from God returns to Him through his words and ministry. This is his calling!
Early Life and Education
Houck hails from Weston, Florida and graduated with honors from both the University of Pennsylvania and Lewistown High School. Additionally, he served in the US Navy before co-founding Princeton Internships in Civic Service as an officer. Houck is now actively engaged in pro-life activism as well as youth chastity education campaigns, speaking engagements and writing books on this subject.
Houck sensed God calling him to serve as a minister when he was nine. He began praying every day and studying Holy Scriptures; reading about Jim Elliot’s martyrdom inspired and comforted him further.
He and his wife Shirley are members of Fleetwood Bible Church in Macungie, Pennsylvania. He takes great pleasure hunting and fishing; but his greatest source of happiness comes from spending time with his two children and granddaughter.
Professional Career
Houck has emerged as one of the Red Sox organization’s premier prospects since being selected in the first round in 2017. After swiftly rising through Single-A affiliates Lowell Spinners and Salem Red Sox, he quickly progressed.
Houck was later promoted to the Pawtucket Red Sox, where he quickly established himself as one of their most reliable relief pitchers. Additionally, his ability to pitch both as a starter and in the bullpen has given him much-needed versatility for each pitching situation.
With Nathan Eovaldi, Michael Wacha and Rich Hill set to reach free agency next season, Houck could find himself joining their rotation as soon as next season begins. Additionally, his mix of power and control would make him an excellent asset in the bullpen.
Achievement and Honors
Houck was honored to win three Atlantic Women’s College Conference Most Outstanding Player awards and also excelled academically – earning herself placement on the Dean’s List, taking part in Princeton Internships for Civic Service internships, and receiving their award.
Houck was mentored during his time with Mizzou’s Tiger program by several baseball legends, such as three-time Cy Young winner and seven-time All-Star Max Scherzer. Together they shared similar approaches to pitching; both focused on fastballs and command.
Steven Houck can usually be found at NW 6th St Apt 202 in Deerfield Beach, Florida and can also be known by his middle name of Donald. Additionally, he may also be associated with Mitchell Houck, Kerri Houck, and Ardis Houck.
Personal Life
Rev Houck initially had trouble convincing his family of his decision to enter ministry, as they considered it foolish and did not support it. Yet God was always by his side as He provided him with churches which welcomed him with open arms as well as jobs at law firms that specialize in antitrust cases – both of which enabled Rev Houck to begin serving the Lord without worry from family or friends.
Rev Houck enjoys bird and deer hunting and fishing on occasion, playing chess, reading the Bible, and has an intense devotion for Jesus Christ. He attends Fleetwood Bible Church in Macungie Pennsylvania where his wife Shirley Houck also attends, together they have two children.
