Steven Posey serves as Vice President for Finance & Administration at TraceGains and oversees numerous duties such as supplier compliance, plant quality management, and new product development.
He was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer nearly one year ago and began chemotherapy treatment immediately thereafter. Due to the extent of his recovery process, it will take some time before he is back at full capacity in his role at work.
Early Life and Education
Steven Posey hails from Denver, Colorado. For two years he has worked at Santa Fe University of Art and Design (SFUAD), making the drive daily before returning home to his family every weekend.
He was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer approximately one year ago and is presently receiving treatment, so any prayers and support would be most appreciated. Chemotherapy treatments continue while CAR-T therapy may soon begin as well.
Posey previously served as Corporate Controller at Axcient, a $50M+ SAAS company. There he was responsible for revenue recognition, ASC 606/ASC 360/ASC 718 preparation and implementation as well as internal controls implementation – he even assisted with ASC 718 stock-based compensation accounting process!
Professional Career
Posey has directed episodes for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and other popular sci-fi series like Babylon 5, Xena, Hercules and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He has also written screenplays for numerous films like Friday the 13th: A New Beginning.
Posey competed in 1968 Trans-Am auto racing series driven by Ray Caldwell’s factory Sunoco Camaro and was considered by historians to be one of the greatest years ever of professional road racing in US history. He finished among the top ten eight times, including winning at Lime Rock Park.
He currently provides essay work on the coverage of the Tour de France for OLN (formerly Speedvision). Posey alleges retaliation against her dating back to when she filed EEO charges in 2003.
Achievement and Honors
Posey has made appearances in multiple Christopher Guest films, such as his mock documentaries Best In Show and Waiting for Guffman. Additionally, she appeared as Josie in Josie and the Pussycats to rave reviews from critics.
Posey serves on the SITC Cellular Immunotherapy committee and leads two cancer immunotherapy research training programs for underrepresented minority undergraduate students. Steven is an accomplished Controller with extensive experience driving financial operations with efficiency and process improvement. He excels at revenue recognition, reporting and forecasting across various business units and geographies; prior to joining TraceGains he served as Corporate Controller at Axcient (a $50M+ SAAS company).
Personal Life
Posey has long been associated with supporting independent films. She has made guest appearances on several television series such as Futurama and Will & Grace, most notably appearing as Liz in four episodes of Louie, Louis C.K’s love interest in which her performance garnered positive reviews from critics.
Posey’s performances in films such as Drunks and Louie demonstrate her characters’ exciting freedom to navigate life as they wish. Her expressive face goes from melancholic recall to joyful gesturing in one monologue; showing Debbie’s joy at taking control of what her experience will become in future years.
Posey is cancer free for one year following chemotherapy treatment and currently being treated with CAR-T therapy. She has three children and serves on numerous boards such as First Financial Bank and Big Brothers Big Sisters boards.
