Thomas Rovito Joins Penn State Health As Vice President of Cancer Services
Thomas Rovito specializes in family law matters. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Widener School of Law, Thomas has extensive experience litigating civil cases pertaining to domestic violence cases.
Judge Rovito noted in her ruling that Miles had numerous opportunities to alter his life but failed to seize them.
Early Life and Education
Thomas Rovito was born and lived his entire life in Hoboken, New Jersey before passing away at the age of 64 on February 16, 2023. To honor and remember Thomas’ memory, family and friends have created this memorial page in his name.
He served both Weehawken as a police officer and teacher, earning numerous accolades, such as an NY State Title award. Furthermore, he coached multiple sports teams. Known for his dedication to children and community in Weehawken.
Tom F Rovito has used various names and aliases during his career, such as Thomas L Rovito. Additionally, he has lived at several addresses within New Jersey including 14 Sussex Street in Hopatcong and 133 Shippen Street in Weehawken.
Professional Career
Rovito will work closely with Ethel Randall, administrative vice president for cancer services at Penn State Health to coordinate its expanding continuum of cancer care services and recruit and retain cancer care teams across its service area. In his new position, Rovito will play an essential part in recruiting and retaining cancer teams at hospitals and practices across its service area.
Miles, 61, of Frazer declined to speak in court and did not offer an apology. Albert Sardella Jr. of Coatesville pointed out the number of supporters for Miles who attended court sessions and asserted that imprisonment could deprive Miles of his livelihood because it may result in losing his license to practice medicine.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lisa Rovito (Blank); their daughter Samantha; Joan Blank of Jackson, NJ as his mother in law; his sisters Marianne Lorenz and Richard Rovito as well as many nieces and nephews and close family and dear friends who will cherish his memory and are asked to make memorial donations in his memory. Achievement and Honors
Thomas Rovito’s research specializes in male health promotion and adolescent wellness promotion, testicular self-exam, male mental health issues and male-specific adolescent wellness issues. Recently he was honored by the APHA Men’s Health Caucus with their inaugural award for excellence in community outreach and research.
He is also an outspoken supporter of indigenous fire practices as an effective way to mitigate catastrophic wildfires in California, providing education on this matter to students, local government officials, and international audiences.
Tom leaves behind his beloved wife Lisa and mother in law Joan Blank of Jackson, New Jersey; sister Marianne Lorenz (Fred), brother Richard Rovito (Debra), as well as Michelle Denfeld, Michael Lorenz (Lynn), Mark Lorenz, Dana Rovito Erica Renz and Jill Rovito as cherished nieces and nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Personal Life
Tom Rovito leaves behind his beloved wife Lisa, parents Gennaro and Clara Tibaldi, sister Marianne Lorenz (Fred) of Weehawken (formerly Fred Lorenz), brother Richard Rovito of Jackson New Jersey as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends. Tom made Lake Hopatcong his home four years ago where he built his dream home.
He was an Elks member in Weehawken for more than 30 years, serving in officer roles over that time. Additionally, he belonged to Lake Hopatcong Elks as well, serving in several capacities such as lodge secretary and lodge esquire. Besides these obligations he enjoyed fishing, skiing and traveling and will be dearly missed at 64 years of age at his death.
