Trisha Yearwood Friend Glenda
Trisha Yearwood and Her Hair Stylist Glenda Martin in Season 10 of Southern Kitchen
After a long time on tour, Trisha Yearwood is getting back to a more relaxed routine. She loves a good workout and is trying out a new exercise called goat yoga with her friend Natalie. Afterwards, she cooks a well-deserved lunch that includes Baked Green Bean Fries and Garlicky Shrimp in Crispy Tortilla Cups. They finish the meal with Crustless Apple Pie and Granola Frozen Yogurt before catching up on their day and other crazy workouts they’ve done in the past!
She is also helping her friends solve common cooking dilemmas by teaching them how to make delicious dishes. She does this by preparing a range of recipes including Pear Maple Biscuits, Pan Seared Pork Chops with Sweet Mustard Sauce and Easy Ice Cream Pie with Buttermilk Caramel Sauce.
The upcoming season 10 of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen will feature some very familiar faces, including Yearwood’s hair stylist Glenda Martin who wears a curly blonde wig and brown blazer while acting as the country star on Saturday’s episode. She’s also sharing photos of herself dressed up in the disguise on Instagram.
Having just returned home from her wedding to Brooks, she wants to spend time with her family and friends. To do this, she is hosting a “Just Because” party with her close friends and family at her Nashville home.
In the episode, she prepares a quick and stress-free Thanksgiving feast with her sister Beth to celebrate the holiday. The menu includes her Turkey and Dressing Casserole, homemade Turkey Gravy, buttery Roasted Carrots and a Yearwood classic, Sweet Potato Pie.
To add to the festivities, Trisha brings in her favorite band to perform and celebrate with her friends. Cordelia’s Roast Beef, Blanche’s addictive Mini Cherry Muffins and Gingerbread Cocktails keep the party going.
She then turns her Southern Kitchen into a candy factory with her sister, Beth, to help create treats such as Chocolate Candy Bar Rounds, Caramel Riblets and Honey Glazed Brussels and Ricotta Crostata. She also shows her sister how to use a cast iron pan to prepare dishes like Country Ham Carbonara and Buttermilk Strawberry Skillet Cake.
Her Quey’s Savannah Pralines are a perfect dessert to finish off the day.
A trip to her friend Leah’s High Garden Tea shop inspires Trisha to create a comforting, warm and hearty meal with tea-inspired ingredients. The menu includes a Tea-Poached Pear and Goat Cheese Galette, Mushroom and Butternut Squash Risotto and Spice-Rubbed Roast Chicken.
She’s also showing her friend Glenda how to take care of a cast iron pan and demonstrating its versatility by making dishes such as Buttermilk Strawberry Skillet Cake.
The upcoming season 11 of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen will include more familiar faces, including Yearwood’s sister Beth and niece Ashley. Her friend Glenda will be a frequent guest on the show, and she will also be helping her with some of her cooking challenges.
Her glam squad is in town, and she’s planning a Hawaiian-themed cookout for them. They’ll be preparing notched-up versions of campfire favorites, such as Filet Mignon Chili, Grilled Corn with Jalapeno Butter, S’mores Fondue and Campfire Cocktails!
